A Little Bit About Me

Hi there!

I’m Dillon Czuj, the creator of Between Two Tongues. I started this site in 2020 when I was halfway through college. I saw it as a way to combine two of my favorite things: the study of language and the art of writing.

And although it has gone through various forms before what we have today, that spirit has been carried through every iteration. In the fall of 2024, I reorganized the site into three separate blogs, one for language, one for writing, and one for what I call glitter: works that draw my attention and which I want to share.

I have always thought of linguistics and writing as two sides of the same coin; at the end of the day they are both about words.

I graduated from Georgetown University in June of 2022 and am currently living in Brooklyn where I work as a café manager and a freelance writer. My interests outside of writing include yoga, art, video games, rock climbing, caring for animals, crafting, thrifting, socializing, and researching random things on Wikipedia.

Over the next for months, this site will probably be changing a good amount. The early posts were not on much of a schedule, but the amount and frequency of posts will be ramping up from this point forward. Please bear with me as I figure out the best schedule will be!

Stay tuned for a more clear schedule of posts!
